By its position, ORISON uses the ear, anatomical amplifier : the pinna captures and spatializes2 sounds while the ear canal guides them to the eardrum ; the proximity with the eardrum allows, then, an immediate reproduction of them, with no delay ( < 0,8ms). Thus, ORISON allows :
- The 3D localization of sspeech and ounds in space (thanks to the pinna) ;
- A restitution without delay of the amplified sounds (thanks to the tympanic proximity) ;
- The absence of amplification of parasitic noise (such as wind noise), the microphone being sheltered in the ear canal ;
- An excellent user experience, even with a unilateral fitting.
